Keep it friendly
No harassment, impersonation, unlawful content, cheating or attempts to disrupt games. Don’t share anyone’s private information.
Your name. Your messages. Your responsibility.
Players are responsible for their usernames and messages. Player content does not represent Jackaroom’s views or endorsement. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Jackaroom accepts no responsibility for player-created usernames or chat messages. This does not exclude any responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
Public Quick Match chat
Public Quick Match rooms filter nicknames and messages for selected English racial and anti-LGBTQ slurs and recognized links. We use open-source Obscenity with upstream racial-tagged data rated strong or severe from profanity-list, plus anti-LGBTQ entries shared with Obscenity’s preset, and linkify-it for links. Processing stays on our server; messages are not sent to an outside moderation service. Ordinary profanity is not filtered just for being profanity. Filters also apply when joining a public room by code. No homemade content detectors are used. There is no dedicated Arabic or contextual hate filter. Implied promotions and disguised links can go undetected; false positives are also possible. This is not human moderation or a complete hate-speech classifier.
Rooms you create
Manually created rooms have content filters switched off. Message-size and spam limits still apply, and you can mute players. Unfiltered does not mean exempt from the house rules or applicable law. Only share the room code with people you want to join.
Protecting the table
Connection, room and request limits apply to public and private rooms. Repeated invalid or excessive requests can be rejected or disconnected. A tab can hold one seat at a time. Inactive rooms expire, including their chat and seat-recovery data.
Still growing
Jackaroom is in development. Features can change and games can be interrupted. Shared storage allows reconnects across server restarts, but outages, expired rooms or incompatible updates can still end a game. Planned features have no guaranteed release dates.
Reconnecting and rematches
Refresh or reconnect in the same tab to recover your seat while the room still exists. Lobby seats are normally held for two minutes after a detected disconnection; connection detection and cleanup can add a short delay. Leave Lobby releases your seat immediately. A rematch resets the board and deals new cards after a team wins and all four connected players agree. It cannot reset an unfinished game. Share invite links only with people you want to join.
Mute and sound
You can hide another player’s messages with Mute, or turn card and marble sounds off. Muting only changes what you see; it is not a ban or report, and it does not remove messages for others.
Kuwait and applicable law
These terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait, subject to any mandatory laws and rights that also apply. Follow applicable Kuwaiti laws when choosing names and sending messages. Nothing here removes rights or obligations that cannot legally be excluded.
